The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic is the defining global health crisis of our time and the greatest challenge we have faced since World War Two. Since its emergence in Asia late last year, the virus has spread to every continent except Antarctica.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) partnered with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and six hairdresser associations to launch the ‘Chang Phom Oon Jai’ project.

With the significant roles and impacts of youth in defining both the present and future of Thailand, UNDP Thailand Youth Strategy aims to empower youth in Thailand and to unleash their full potential and become the positive change agents as well as sustain impact which requires support from civil society organization and private sectors to public sectors at all levels. Through three main strategies of Civic Engagement, Economic Empowerment, and Change Agents for SDGs and our approaches, UNDP Thailand benefits young people to be a beneficiary, a contributor, and an initiator.
